Pitching

It may be time to bring up JKelly...with both Baker and Liriano in trouble for opening day, we'll need another starter.

Mayors Cup

Twins going for the Mayor's Cup today, with none better than mini-yo on the mound...

Opening day

I'm not sure what to think of this one.
First thought that comes to mind is Sidney part 2....what a joke. Glad we'll be losing 45-2.
However, this is probably a decent way to shield the younger Twins starters from increased pressure this year...
Either way, we're only 20 days away from the soon to be 2008 Central Division Champs Twins season opener!!

Baby Ortiz

Do the Twins have a making of a baby Ortiz?!?!?
You know, late bloomer?!?!
Ok, so he's right handed, 30 years old, and headed to AAA....it still would be cool to have a hitter like him around (although I really hope we find a way to keep Buscher and Jones)

Hustle

I'm sure Coach Carney follows the same edict of hustle that Gardy does...

And here are the Twins cut's:
Here’s the list of cuts, a dozen in all (leaving 49 players in camp): pitchers Zach Day, Deolis Guerra, Oswaldo Sosa, Jose Mijares (who isn’t here anyway; he’s still recovering from a broken arm in Venezuela), Armondo Gabino and Duensing. Catchers Jose Morales, Jeff Christy and Allen de San Miguel; infielders Alejandro Machado and Felix Molina; and outfielder Darnell McDonald (who didn’t get much of a chance to show anything due to his sore back). Morales, Sosa and Mijares are the only members of the 40-man roster in that group. Morales is headed to Rochester, while the other two will go to New Britain.

Also, be sure to stop by Gleeman's run-down of the Twins top 40 prospects:
