Twins

Sorry to push down the YC pictures, but more spring trainging talk always takes precedence.

And you got to love Hank:
First baseman Henry Sanchez, the power-hitting prospect who has been slowed by left hand and right knee surgeries, now wants to be called Hank. Well now he’s got the name right….

And some more Liriano:

1st Annual YC Ski Outing/Social

On the same day as the hockey game the YC held its inaugural ski outing/social at Trollhaugen in WI - anyone see Favre cry, I cry to sometimes but - toasting to the end of that era - back on point and skiing. The snow was white and as you can see in the pic they have theses chairs that take you to the top of the hill and then you ski or rip (see Billy's pic) down to the bottom and once again ride the magical chairs. Outside of a few boarders and a couple ski patrols we had this luxurious mountain resort all to our ourselves - yes skiing can be a lot of work but once your there and in the moment it is so worth the effort and drive. As it turns out this was the funnest YC functions I have ever attended not including the one weekend I got to spend with the Originals at the Godfathers Cabin which has its own 9 hole course. Anyhow, I reckon Billy now has the ski bug as it is highly addictive - I mean highly addictive - I mean more addictive than Favre and his pills. Going forward next year we will try and double - triple the number of participants in this fun filled day. Ooops one more thing, thanks for your help ski patrol. Caww Cawwww Cawwwww - what a day - thats how these 2 crows roll.

1st Annual YC Hockey Jamboree

Anoka was the site of the 1st annual YC Hockey extravaganza/jamboree, not to far from Crow's Country and Rocket Park. The action was fast and furious - the ice was a little soft but the sun was shining and the contest ws everything it was billed to be. Team Coolage faced off against Team Carney for this inaugural event. Coolage's squad played dirty, lots of fore checking into the boards and the corners, slashing was always on the mind of Team Carney - hired officials will be in effect next year. Anyhow, Team Coolage slightly edged out the faster Team Carney on this day. Team Coolage - if you won't call it low down dirty hockey I will. Post game refreshments were served at B-sides (formerly Durkins) as the YC planned another event. Sunday would be a good day to play some puck - what do you say wilks, treats, brocko, bernie etc etc...... You may have won that battle Coolage but the outcome of this war still lies within Team Carney' squad. Cawww Cawwww Cawwwww

ESPN

Today's Twins v Yanks game is on ESPN.
Looks like the Yanks are sending out a regular season lineup against Slowey.
They must be pissed they didn't get Santana

Vikes

Happy days...for Vikes fans.
Now that he is gone, we can salute him for being such a great player and killing our secondary more often than not.

And here's another cool one.

Morneau

The Crows should take heed and work out like this man...
Perhaps then we will accomplish our goal of 3 championships this year :)

Yo-mammy

I go back and forth on this one...I love Joe Nathan. I love that he is lights out, and I buy the arguement that he tremendously helps the bullpen...but to spend top dollar on a closer, when closers are an overrated position?!?!?
I guess if you think of it outside the box, and look at Joe as top cog in the bullpen instead of actually a closer, maybe that makes more sense. Anyway, I hope they sign him so I can keep watching the Amazing JoeNathan destroy the White Sox/Tigers/Indians when Mini-yo Liriano hands him the lead in the 9th.
