Reading this kind of sheds a light on how lucky the Twins were to have Ryan. We forget what that he took over when we absolutely sucked ass, and turned the franchise around. Granted, we never got a World Series out of it, and he didn't pull the trigger on getting some extra bats around, but he has put us in position where BSmit (Billy Smith, we're tight like that) can pull the trigger when needed.

I agree TR is a big part of why I feel this team overachieves, Punto would be hitting .130 somewhere else but he's around .200 here. TR is somewhat similar to Rumplestilskin - turning straw into Gold. He did a crazy good job all things considered.
