T-nutts

I would like to start a daily post commenting on something I run across...all topics are welcome.

I would like to start by saying if this is true, then I am with the Terry Ryan on this one. If Tnutts is turning down 15 million a year for the next 3 years because he wants 5 years, we can't re-sign him. Centerfielders don't age well, and having to pay Hunter 15 million when he is 38 and swinging at sliders in the dirt is not good business....Especially when the farm system is STOCKED with centerfielders (wait, scratch that, we have nothing down on the farm either).

Thanks for playing TNutts. Good luck with the NY fans when you disappear for 2-3 weeks at a time. Once they get into your head, you'll never hit again. Your better off signing the deal in Minny and you can continue your streakiness and all will be well for you, because the MN fans will not hold their beloved T-Nutts accountable. brocko

If management was planning on giving up on this year (which they obviously did by getting rid of Castillo and not signing anyone), they should have dealt Torri too. We could have gotten a bunch of young prospects, and still could have tried signing him in the offseason. Doesn't seem like he will be back, and doesn't look like we will get anything for him. Maybe the Twins should try 30 year contracts like the Crows.

Say goodbye to Johan, and Morneaux in time, on the bright though we will always have #7, don't we have a very young left handed centerfielder who was in spring training this year with the boys? Gardy knows the shit is hitting the fan. Thanks Toro for as smooth a transition as possible when Puck went down.
