Bye bye Yo.
You were great why you were here.
Glad you are going to the NL so you won't haunt us until Series time.

Not sure this was the best deal on the table, but they should know better than I. Time will tell.
We don't need him-we've got Scott Baker. Oh God, we're screwed!
Mr. ReBillder Smith...
Congratulations!! Your team has successfully pulled the wool over the eyes of your fanbase. We have no problem paying for your multi million dollar stadium while you ship off the faces and character of your club. Maybe you should think about changing the team name to the Minnesota Mediocre's.
Get Bent!!!

OK, here's the deal boys....You CAN'T pay a pitcher 150 for 6 years. You just can't...they break down, they become ineffective, etc...Name one single contract that has worked for a pitcher over 6 years. I could argue that outside of Maddux's '93 contract for 5 years, there hasn't been a single 5 year contract that works either. Pitchers should not receive anymore than 4 years. It's just too risky.
28 years old. He has never shown any sign of breaking down. he's been more durable than any pitcher out there. You may be right about the 6 years. I just don't know. I think they needed to keep Hunter or Santana. Pay a little something to show the State of Minnesota that you were serious when you said that you would put $$ back into the team if you go a new stadium.
Cuddy's going to be the new mouthpeice for the Twins. Cuddy.
29 into the season. But I understand. Problem is, you just can't go 6. The Mets are balking at 6, Red Sox and Yanks said they wouldn't go 6. 6 puts you at 35. Not too many lights out pitchers at the age of 35...and if you're going to assume that he is 20 million a year, and if you up your payroll to 100 million a year, you are still committing 1/5 of your entire salary structure who can only give you a chance to win. In the AL, a pitcher can NOT single handedly win a game. They need offense to get it done. Even if they throw a shut out, then need someone to drive in a run. If you are paying the rest of your lineup the 4/5th's, you're not going to have enough pieces to consistently drive in runs. Look at last year, he was damn good, posted a 3.30 ERA, and still *only* won 15 games because we didn't have any offense.
