DH

So why is Kubel on the roster if you aren't going to DH him against a RH pitcher?!?!?!
I just don't get it. Is it to justify signing Monroe?!?! This move makes no sense

Pissing off Kubel and not respecting his contributions or slow start last year is never a good move as I see it - Is this that whole platoon issue and does Gardy have it backwards - although you know i am not a Kubel fan.

I know you're not a Kubel fan, but here's my issue. If you want to find out if you have a player...YOU NEED TO PLAY HIM!!!

Personally, I think Kubel is going to be a great DH (relatively speaking Twins-wise), so why waste him away on the bench even longer?!?! I just don't get it.

Roger that, gardy for the first time reminds me of Chilldress - you need to coach into your players strengths and put them in a position to succeed and avoid the negative and unfair and unjust to give your guys a sense of belief in them. You are starting to make me like Kubel know over Monroe - damn you.

Given time, I will turn you onto Kubel. He will be a great player...just wait (he wears Frankie V's old number)

Toro Toro said the tax man and Vlad got me all scared as I fret them this eve and see them pushing each other to great seasons. Who ever said Tori and Santana were past their prime I believe will be eating Crow all season.

Heated field in the new stadium are you kidding me and its not built so a retractable could be added - and some challenge my intellect? I'm hot

Monroe vs. his good buddy and life long friend Tori Hunter - Gardy better not be playing into the storyline. Don't sell out Gardy.

Arkansas #8 said...

Gardy is totally playing into the story line...

I may have to do a naked stroll to inspire the Crows.

Btw, Gomez is 22, and you can't go wrong with his speed...

Trivia Question 2 Crows already have - who are they?

Ron Washington DC said...

Why do the Halo's have Matthews Jr. and Torii?

Arkansas #8 said...

They have Matthews because they signed him the year before for 50 million....they can't get rid of him

Twins win Twins win - thats why we love it, woke up this morning thinking of my 1st baseball season as a 8 year old on the Pnathers - this is baseball is sooooo goooood - hoping we finish the season as we started. This was a fun game.

Good times in Twins town!!!! I was there 5 rows back in left field, waiting to catch DY's first homer. Guess I will have to wait until next time.

Boys played well, but remember, that is just 1 game out of 162. Good start, but things need to continue.

Gomez - looked good, but again, season is young. Looked comfy in CF, and faster than lightning. Potential is there, needs to stay consistent all year.

Mauer/Cuddy/Morneau - all good, we know what we are getting with these 3, and there are no complaints with this 2-3-4 combo.

DY - 22 years old and FULL of raw talent. Had some issues in left, but will iron those out as he gets used to the dome - remember - 22 years old. Has a good bat - and even got an SB - nice to have him at the 5 spot.

Monroe/Kubel - for your previous rants, Gardy let Monroe DH because he DESERVED to be the starting CF with his spring training, but the Twins want to prove the Santana trade was good, so Gomex will get the advantage. Monroe started out of respect for his spring. Monroe and Kubel are both capable of the DH spot, and will be okay.

Mike Lamb - in like a lion, out like a lamb? I like the guy, but I also liked Batista, so who knows how credible I am. He better hit though - 15-20 HR's.

Harris - worried about this kid - hit the ball decent last night, but don't need a .220 guy here.

Everett - again - a little worried. GREAT defensively, but his bat may be troublesome.

Hernandez - very Silva'esque, 7 innings, maybe 1 run, maybe 4. Pitched awesome last night though.

bang! bang!
