Boof

Before ripping Boof as a crappy pitcher, check this out, kind of puts thing in perspective:

Boof Bonser turned in his fourth Quality Start in five outings this season by tossing six innings of two-run ball against the A's last night, but his record fell to 1-4 when the Twins once again failed to provide him with decent run support. After being shut out last night the lineup has produced a grand total of seven runs in Bonser's five starts and he also ranked second-to-last among AL starters in run support last year. In Bonser's last 35 starts, the Twins have scored more than four runs just 11 times.

I have no issues with Boof - he is a decent middle fo the road starter - a good 4th starter on any team. We need our big guns though to pick it up - Livan has done well, but needs to pitch like that the entire season - Liriano needs to regain his form, Baker needs to keep improving, as does Slowey. Lots of younger guys, who just need to keep taking strides forward, and not back.

Is this the year of the Crow and the Twin?

Liriano not so good this afternoon unfortunately. Stats, although they do paint a detailed picture, never ever tell the whole story, and they always fail to mention all of the variables - Nice piece #8. Did we go through this with Raedke as well or was that Fiction? Get em Boof.

Looks like the Crow is out of the gates faster than the Twinkies. If I were in Vegas I'd put money on both of them.
