Rincon - your stock is rising and that was for all you ignorant fans at the HHH that gave him a standing ovation his 1st AB and dissed your twins and Twins Territory as I see it - we thanked him last year. Mauer needs no time to adjust to the #2 spot I'm sure he has been there at many age levels just like Quiet Strong and myself. Mauer giving himself up should not be an issue - the only issue here is that the ignorant fan looks at the stat page to determine a players worth$ or value to a team. D. Young is your guy Zogger, I'll find my guy maybe even Span as I have patience and love the thought of Gomez pinch running in the bottom of the 9th at times.
Value to a team can be measured any many ways, for sure...but if you simple ignore stats for *gut feelings* you are not looking at the whole picture as well, don't you agree? I would never use stats only, but rather another tool in the tool box for determining worth. And when the worth is so heavily favored one way, it makes little sense to go the other way.
As much as I would like to agree with you, I can't. Little league is baseball, MLB is nothing but a business, as jaded as that sounds. If it were purely baseball, Yo-yo would have pitched game one with Torii in CF to catch whatever opposing player was lucky enough to make contact with Yo's change up.
agreed, maybe I misread and thought they were saying they should not take the bat out of his hands but Mauer and Gardy know this is not the case, pull the ball hard in those situations and Mauer even in the 3 spot has always hit the ball on the ground, actually he has been dissed for it in the past - Mauer do what you do I believe.
Than we have to accept the stroy lines and I hate the storylines although I love the fact next year NFL we get Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau as the Vikes get revenge. Its a soap opera and this I dislike.
People seem to think our pitching is good and has young depth but I think this will be the biggest glaring downfall of the year. Panicing already trade Nathan now.

Mauer knows how to hit.
I put my trust in his swings.

So glad we put that whole Kubel jazz of yesterday to rest.
Agreed....I think the lesson here is money, although good for beer, pretty much ruins everything else.

We'll have to make it happen
