Veterans have earned the right of respect in the clubhouse, 1st row on the plane, bp, blindfold for Redmond and other areas. Never ever compromise the teams drive for wins and success due to respecting a veteran - This is Cancer and I'm shocked Gardy is now in soap opera land with Monroe and Kuble starring in the show. Stop steering me onto the Kuble bandwagon - good things

Kubel. Kubel. Kubel. Kubel.

Did I steer you wrong with Cuddyer?!?!?!
In 2005, when he was our starting thirdbaseman, I went a purchased a Cuddy shirt just to show my faith in him. I think 2006 Vindicated (not to be confused with Canseco) me

I called I was Cuddy when he hit his first MLB homer - do you know where it was cause I remember it like it was yesterday. Me and coolage than squared off for the magic man and I changed to Redmond - than Billy stole him from me two so I am looking for a new guy on this squad but it will not be Kubel.

Take Cuddy back then, I can handle Kubel. I love Kubel...he rules

For the record, I still have dibs on D Young!

Kubel is fine - but has had his chance to make a point on this team, and every year he has failed. It would be nice to get his bat going, but a .265, 9 HR season is not what we need out of our DH. Break out or release him. Monroe is a good compliment to him - can't we be happy to have 2 fairly capable DH's on the squad?

Kubel has been held back by a shredded knee....Leave him alone for a year and let's see what he can do. If he can't do it, then by all means cut him loose. But a guy with his track record prior to shredding his knee at least deserves a chance on a rebuilding team...why give at bats to Monroe?!?! Is he going to make the difference on this team? Nope. We need to find out if Kubel is the anwer for next year or not. Ask the Pirates how playing middling veterans works out...They haven't had a winning season in 15 years. Go with your prospects before they become suspects. We can't tell what Kubel is if we keep jerking him around. Burn 500 at bats on him this year and we will know what we have with him
