Wow - what a game, what a series. I am worried about Lemaire's style though - they are not playing physical, and if we are going up against an Anaheim or Calgary or Vancouver, I am not sure we can compete if we do not get more physical in a 7 game series.
Koivu & Burns are 2 of Road Zogg's favorites.
Da da da DAH da DAHHHHH---CHARGE!!! Da da da DAH da DAHHHHH---CHARGE!!! Da da da DAH da DAHHHHH---CHARGE!!! Da da da DAH da DAHHHHH---CHARGE!!!
I'm with that on the physical play. However, I think the way this series has been playing out, it hasn't turned that way. The Wild seem to be a team (now with Simon, Fridge, & Boogie) that can play the physical game if need be. I don't think so far this series has needed that. The WILD are Chameleon like...Not Boy George like. I believe that in a more physical series, they will be able to play that way. Now, normally you'd want to impose your will on the opposing squad, but with the pickup of Simon and Boogie now being healthy, the Wild are very good at changing their game to the physical style play.
Make sense??? Anyone going for beers tonight to watch the game?
Ballgame is become a huge Burns fan and also has a sentimental weakness for fellow #9, Mr Koivu. Rolston successfully worked his way out of my doghouse with, what I thought, was a tremendous game last night. STOMP, STOMP, CLAP, STOMP, STOMP, CLAP, STOMP, STOMP, CLAP, STOMP, STOMP, CLAP! "WE WILL WE WILL ROCK YOU!.....
Lemaire is too conservative and allows teams to push us around (see 2007 Anaheim).
Colorado is taking runs at Gabby, Koivu, Parish, ....they even slashed Backstrom and nothing happened. This is pussy hockey, and will not get you far in the playoffs.
Sheppard gets points for sticking up for Backstrom when nobody else would.
LaPerier takes a run at Gabby in the season final, and he still has not gotton any payback. Playoff hockey is physical, if you let teams push you around, you are in trouble.
Colorado is the equivalent of a 1st grade girl - and we can't even push them around. Wait until we play a tough team like an Anaheim or Calgary, we are in trouble, unless we learn to finish checks, and lay guys out so they are timid and do not mess with our stars.
Playoff hockey is a different game and you cannot win if you do not win the physical battles.

I agree, Brocko, watch what happens if we get up a few goals tonight, then the action will turn more physical, I guarantee it.
