Back to back losses

Totally agree with Gleeman today.
How was Nathan not used in eiter of the last 2 games, when the situation practically begged for it?!?!?

This is the most ridiculous article there is - probably a good reason Gleeman is a sprts writer and not a manager, and Gardy is a manager and not a sports writer. Nathan is a CLOSER.....in a close game he needs to be saved - ESPECIALLY on the road - where if we take the lead in the top half of an inning - we know he will close it out. Our relievers are RELIEVERS - that is their job, to come in and keep things the way they are, so that we can get a lead for the closer. Put NAthan in, he shuts them down, we get a lead, then what, bring in Bass for a save?

It is not Gardy's faulth that Neshak went down, and his middle relievers are not getting the job done. If anyone wants to complain, complain about which reliver he brought in. Complaining that he should bring in the closer in a tied game on the road is absolutely nuts. This is why I do not read a lot of sports writers - most do not know much about sports.

And while we are on the subject of the Twins and Gardy, should we complain about his move to pinch hit for Gomez.....and out in Kubel - who goes down swinging, when all we need is a fly ball....?

I think the Kubel experiment should come to an end - Span can play left, put Young in right, and GoGo in center - sounds like a perfect Twins outfield. Now, if they could go make a move to get a good consistent DH, our lineup could be pretty dangerous.

0-0 game, I agree...but not the 5-2 game. Bring in your best reliever to win the game. What good is he if he can't get into the game, especially when it is the 8th inning? His arm too fragile to trhow 2 innings?!?!? Please. When the game is on the line, use your best. That's how you win. Not by bringing in rookies just because Nathan's title is *Closer*. What good is a closer if you can't get to him?

Seriously??? Sit your 2nd leading HR hitter???

Billy, I don't get it.
Kubel is hitting 265 with 12 HR's.
Not huge numbers, but huge on the Twins, yet Zogg wants him gone.

What is with the anti-Kubel?
Are you anti-HR's?
Anti-winning?
Anti-good hitting?
Would you rather trot out Tyner again?
What gives?
Irrational hate for Kubel...I think you secretly wish you had a beard like him.

Yeah, I don't know, I was sitting at the bar with Zog next to me and Kubel up, Zog just had to run a lap around CRs because he bet Punto was going to strike out, and now we had a chance to show him Kubel is clutch, and he goes down swinging(good thing I didn't shake on the bet for him to "K"), big disappointment. No secret our bullpen is going to lead to our demise, Nescheks injury is killing us. Goose Gossage used to do more then an inning for a save, I guess I never understood why closer only can go one inning these days, seems silly.
