Crows rookie suspended!

D.J. Brockman, the front runner for Crows rookie of the year and a seemingly unhappy member of the Nolan ran team, was suspended for the opening game of the fall season today by the Crows organization.
In a statement issued in Coon Rapids, the Crows said that Brockman had been suspended without pay for one game and fined Beer detail for the second game "for insubordination and conduct detrimental" to the team. His public attacks on Head Coach Nolan through the blog and private attacks through e-mails are reported as being "the straw that broke the camels back."
"He has now begun to spread blatant lies about my conduct up at headquarters," said Coach Billy Nolan, who told reporters in Coon Rapids today that he had imposed the suspension. "It is a coach-player deal and I believe it's the right thing to do for this team.
"I don't have a ton of rules. The important thing to me is morale and (D.J.) has been hard on it lately. I said I expected to see him august 21st for the second game ready to play." Nolan took over as coach earlier this season after Jason Herzog was fired. The Crows, with a record of 18-8, and the playoff championship and a second place Zimmerman finish have been playing excellent ball before this couple week lay-off.
The news of the suspension will probably not greatly affect the way Coach Nolan or the Crows approach Thursdays games, as they have a fairly full fall roster, but it did cause quite a stir.

what's this?

I'm behind you 100% Coach. This is the nature of Rookies when they come off a BIG rookie season. A (1) game benching should remind #3 who's boss!

Wow, Coahc Nolan means business. Usually thissort of thing stays in the clubhouse, but I guess when the media is on you, like they are the Crows, day in and day out, it needs to be addressed.

All I know is that I am ready to play on Thursday - Put me in Coach, I'm ready to play!

Coach Nolan doesn't eff around.
Apparently I need to make sure I don't piss him off or I'll end up like Brocko wearing cement shoes in some dingy New Jersey river

Crow Nation:
It seems I had the gall to challenge Coach Nolan’s late season assertion that the Crows were running smoothly. Of course, as followers of Coach Nolan know, I was proven wrong. However, I foolishly entered into friendly war of words about Coach Nolan to anyone who would listen.
I have learned a valuable lesson from this suspension. I will not question Management. I am obviously NO MATCH for Coach Nolan’s cunning and intellect. He is a master strategist and will probably someday rule the world with all his countless abilities to know everything.
I will never again try to kid myself that I can match wits with such a dominate figure. He is clearly my superior and I am so embarrassed for myself for challenging him. I am scum, and Coach Nolan is the height of our existence. Forgive me for ever doubting his abilities for even a millisecond.
Coach Nolan is easily the best possible figure in the world to run the Crows Franchise. I am surely most ignorant to take him on or question his tactics. Coach Nolan is also, bar none, the best looking and most successful Crows Skipper that this franchise has every endured.
How could I have been so foolish? I hang my head in shame.

See you for the 2nd game on Thursday!! I’ll bring the Budweiser’s!!!!!
(and the Mich Golden Draft Light for the less worthy)

There is a reason Coach Nolan is 8-1 in league, adn 4-2 with a 2nd place finish in Zimmerman.

No nonesense, and anyone is replaceable.

(Is Brocko drunk - sure sounds rambling after a night of boozing....)

The British sailors circa 1740 knew that citrus fruit could prevent scurvy. Now that's got to be the only conceivable reason that a man would put lime in his beer. Then again... How bad can scurvy be? A certain amount of risk goes hand and hand with living.

Citrus fruits keep the joints well oiled, keep the mind sharp, and sharpen the vision as we age. Or at least that's what I tell myself
