Not that anyone really missed me, but I am back (much as Liriano is) from a refreshing vacation in Miami. I love bikinis!!!

Anyway, read Gleeman today, breaks down the Franchises start yesterday. Good times.

I was at the game, and agree - while he went 6 and did not give up a run - he was far from dominant. He was VERY dominant in the first 2 innings - making Cleveland look foolish. And even after that looked okay - but got behind too often. Still promising - and with our 5 young starters, this could be a fun staff to watch over the next couple of years.

Too bad the front office is too damn cheap to try to add 1-2 hitters to actually give this team a chance to win a title.

Until then (which will probably never happen) we will be the same team as always - a chance to win the weak central, but never a chance to win 2 postseason seriers against teams like the Yankees, Red Sox and Angels.; August 4, 2008 at 12:44 PM
