Ok, I've been a Twins fan since I was a kid.
I played baseball from ages 4-24. I coach little league every chance I get.
After seeing a story like this, I hate everything about Pohlad and what he has done to baseball in this state. If the Twins don't resign Tnutts and continue to play their *50-52% revenue to payroll* card, contract them. The guys net worth increases by 500 million in one year, holds the state over the coals for a new stadium, then refuses to pay for talent on the field...Is this guy insane?!?! The problem is, we take it because we don't want the Twins to leave. We can only vote with our wallets, but once we do that, we're screwed, then he just puts less talent on the field.
Let's get Mark Cuban to buy the Twins. I'm posting a request today...join in: http://www.blogmaverick.com/

It's an absolute joke. Here's the article from yesterday's paper. I couldn't read much more after I saw this line:
"The reality is, this is about winning baseball games, but it also is a business," St. Peter said. "From a Twins perspective, our goal for ownership has simply been to try to break even."
I think they need a Crow mentality. The goal should not be to win baseball games, it should be to win CHAMPIONSHIPS. The goal should not be to break even, it should be to make a profit. This is all B.S., and top that off with an inept Vikings squad and the fact that the Ragnars Heros Fantasy Football club is underperforming, well, bring on Mr. Cuban. Hell, maybe Coach Carney should move into the Twin front office...At least he brings the championship mindset.

Insane? Psychotic - yes, I believe the definition of this is when you have no empathy for others. We cannot have people in power or control that do not take into consideration of others for the greater good, some go through life wearing blinders - Pohlad you must be blind, you cannot see can you? Outside of Cuban do you know of a rich man who hasn't or doesn't f - over others on a regular basis to generate big time revenue. This is so irrational - who can accept our Twins reality if we lose our guys. Protest or a huge party at the Plaza all weekend. At the pro level you only get champion efforts all season long when a championship is a realistic goal. What can the YC do? Outside of winning our own championship tommorrow.
