More on Twins

I like to add this in there just for kicks:

Delmon Young was out of the lineup for the second consecutive game because Gardenhire preferred the hot bat of Jason Kubel.


Anyway, it is nice to see Kubel starting to hit much better. I'm glad they are benching Delmon, and not because I hate him, because he takes crappy at bats. I get the feeling that he thinks he is entitled to playing time. That is my biggest beef with him. Earn it, and you can have all the playing time you like.

I agree, if Delmon doesn't get a good hack at the first pitch fastball he is donezo (and learn how to dive for a ball, not feet first, dumb ass) I have been pleasantly surprised by Kuebel this year, and its nice to see his average is climbing. And the POWER!!!!! maybe a 30 homerun season?

Kubel is still not there yet - and neither is Delmon. Someone needs to step it up. Gogo too - not totally sold on him yet either - sooner or later one or more of these guys has to take this spot and run.

I don't think I have ever heard Delmon say anything to the fact that he is entitled to playing time - if he is getting too much or too little playing time, that is on Gardy's hands - Delmon does not decide that.
